Mrs. Holbrooks

Hello, I'm Mrs. Holbrooks! This is my second year of teaching kindergarten at BES. Before I embraced the joys of teaching, I worked as a Crisis Clinician at Horizon Behavioral Health and then enjoyed my time as a stay-at-home mom. When my son started school at BES, I decided to follow my dream of becoming a teacher!

I’m a proud mom of two wonderful sons, and together with my husband, we manage a growing farm that's bustling with goats, chickens, bees, and our two dogs. In my free time, I love to go boating, dive into a good book, spend quality time with my family, cook up new recipes in the kitchen, and cheer on my oldest son at the baseball field.

Hi! My name is Emma Marnik, and this is my second year teaching at Brookneal Elementary. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia a few years ago. I graduated from Liberty University with my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, figure skating, and spending time outdoors. I am so excited to teach at BES this year!
