Mrs. Wilson

Hi! My name is Shannon Wilson. This will be my 6th year teaching Kindergarten at BES. I am originally from NC. I moved to the Lynchburg area after attending Liberty University where I studied Elementary Education. I currently live in Rustburg with my husband Seth and my dog Morgan. In my free time, I enjoy shopping, going to the beach, and spending time with my family.

Mrs. Edwards

Hi everyone! My name is Dorothy Edwards. This is my 2nd year teaching Kindergarten and my 4th year at BES. I was an instructional aide for Kindergarten and 1st grade while I was working on my educational degree from Liberty University. I absolutely love teaching and working with kindergarteners! My husband and I live in Gladys with our six kids and two dogs. During my personal time, I love watching my children enjoy their extracurricular activities, serve at our church, shop, or relax at home. Summer is my favorite season because I love traveling or spending time at the pool or beach. I look forward to this upcoming school year at BES!

Mrs. Baldridge

I have taught 6th grade and preschool in the past and spent last year working as a kindergarten aide at Leesville Road. I am excited to join the BES family! My home is in Rustburg, and I have 3 children. My son is in Seattle working for SpaceX this year, my daughter is at JMU, and my youngerst daughter is at Rustburg High. We still have 2 dogs, 4 cats, and two horses at home! I love to travel to see new places, watch my family's dirt bikes race, to hike, and work in my garden.

Mrs. McKinney

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is JoHannah McKinney. This is my first year teaching Kindergarten at BES and I am so excited to be a part of this amazing school family. This may be my first year at BES but I have been working with and teaching kids in various roles for the last 20 years! I was born, raised, and still live right down the road in Lynchburg. I have been married for 14 years to the most amazing man, Joshua McKinney. My husband and I have three children. Our two oldest are teens adopted from Sierra Leone, Africa. Our youngest is in 3rd grade here at BES. I love animals so we have a dog, cat, lizard, and any critter my son finds outside. I have a passion for exploring and see every moment as a learning opportunity. As Ms. Frizzle would say, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" And this year we will do just that!
